P & C

The Parents & Citizens Association at Marton Public School is committed to public education. We continually endeavour to support our wonderful teaching staff by ensuring that we achieve yearly fundraising targets, that then allow us to assist the school financially.

The P&C is always involved in any decision making process concerning the school, ie; uniforms, policies etc. This is why it is important that there is a large representation of the school community at our meetings.

Our yearly fundraising is imperative to aid the school in purchasing equipment across many different areas. For example: home reading books, math tools, sport equipment, band uniforms and instrument maintenance Our funds are distributed where they are most needed.

This year our focus is to purchase interactive white boards for all of our classrooms. The white boards are an excellent teaching tool allowing our teachers to step into the 21st century and make learning exciting.

Over the past year we have been successful in upgrading the canteen, publishing a fantastic cook book, and purchasing two new interactive white boards. We have also provided financial assistance for the new sporting fields which was a huge undertaking by the school but which gives our children a far improved playing area.

We would love to see all our parents at our meetings. We meet on the 3rd Monday of every month at 7.20pm in our library to discuss upcoming and ongoing events.
