Leadership ProgramMarton Public School runs a Leadership program throughout the year. This involves a variety of activities including a leadership seminar day for selected Year 5 students and a Leadership Camp for all Stage 3. Four students in each class per year are elected as class representatives in the Student Representative Council. Two Captains of the school and eight Prefects are elected from Year 6 each year. 16 Library monitors are also chosen to lead the students in the Library Resource Centre.Student Representative Council (SRC)Students are represented on the school's Student Representative Council. SRC representatives attend regular meetings and assume responsibilities for communicating issues on behalf of their peers. Democracy and Cicics studies are supported through participation in the SRC.
